I coach a group of guys for water polo and I went out to lunch with them and this was the part of the conversation:
Steve (one of my athletes): So what kind of car do you drive?
Me: An S2000
Steve: Is that a Ford?
Me: No its a Honda. Look outside its parked right out front.
Steve: OH YOU MEAN THAT THING THAT LOOKS LIKE A VIPER!?!
Me: ......yes...that one...

I have a Suzuka Blue. At a recent track event, my driving instructor gets into the car for the first time and says "Wow, it's all blue and pretty inside."
I think he was giving me a hard time, but he wasn't being a d*ck about it. Just a little gentle ribbing.
Oh well, I like my blue interior, so there.

At the drag strip about to make my first run.
Anouncer: Now we have a mazda miata comin to make a run...
second run.
anouncer: Here's the mazda mita coming up on the tower side...
third run.
anouncer: Mazda miata lining up on the far side....
this went on all night, and I reallyhad no clue where to find the uy and either punch him, or tell him to read the dam card where I clearly wrote down Honda S2000.

I was at a track day a few weeks ago. The night after I was putting my stock brakes back on and changing stuff back to street setup when a few kids on bikes rode past the parking lot. They didn't want to come close, but stood at the top of the hill talking.
Kids:
"Wow! I think it's a viper."
"Wow, yeah that's awsome."
"Are you sure?"
"Yeah, that's a viper it's sooo cool."
On an unrelated note, my last car was a Tiburon that I had put the Viper alarm sticker on the window. A kid walked up and saw the sticker and said "cool, a viper!"
I think kids are the biggest fans of our cars. During the SESM a bunch of us went to go eat for dinner. An NSX was with us (Hardtopguy). While everybody was drooling over his car in the parking lot (it's pretty sweet), a kid about 7 walked up after looking at the cars and asked if he could sit in mine.
