I was dressed rather well for a meeting at work this day last week and was standing outside a local burger place for lunch waiting on some coworkers. (I always seem to get places much earlier nowadays )

kid: *jumping up and down and pointing* "Mommy! Mommy! I want a car like that one!"
Mom: *looking right at me* "One day, when you graduate from college and become successful too, you can get one."
Me: "Actually... um..nevermind."

Ran into an old friend of the family the other day. This guy has a 91 Turbo 300ZX. He told me he saw me driving it earlier and said it was a nice car but its too bad they are so slow.

I asked him if he wanted to race for slips and he declined.

I love all these people that are disappointed when they find that it's "only a Honda". That means to me I can have my fun with it, AND it will still be just as reliable as the day I brought it home, long after cockroaches have finally become extinct.

Not mine, but a local black S2000 is done up very nicely with lots of Mugen parts and other expensive stuff all over the place. While it was waiting in line at an autocross, a trio of teenage guys was checking it out.

"Man, why would you put all that money into the outside of the car and leave it stock under the hood?"
"It's stock? How can you tell?"
"See! It has the stock intercooler!"
