but the above is without the nipple... i ordered without the nipple before the posts that recommended getting the nipple. i will prob end up getting that one too after i try changing the oil without it.

Here's a completely different solution, looks pretty nifty....... a bit more expensive, but even easier (if it works, I would assume it does...) than the valve...!!!

i have one of those, used it for my 325ci and it worked very well but the oil filter was also in the engine bay too so it was easy.
but but on the s2k the filter is on the bottom so if you are on the bottom already its easy to drain and makes sure you get all of it.
the hole for the s2k dipstick is really small , i'm not even sure if it fits. i think the drain valve is the best device for oil changes

it is the fram drain plug, $10 at pep boys.
i still gotta crawl under the car, but it is no where near as messy as it used to be.
