fumoto oil drain valve question

Yeah wanabe, that's what you need, tons easier to change oil with it!

I took one with the nipple...it makes it stick out just far enough to not drip oil on my X-brace. The adaptor is necessary.

I got the one with the nipple since it won't drip on my x-brace. It doesn't make the valve hang down lower since the nipple sticks out to the side. Either one will work with a lowered car since they both hang down the same.

how do you torque this device. doesnt look like you can use a torque wrench on it.

Torque by hand...it's soft brass, so anything more than snug and you'll leave the threads in the oil pan (yeah, it happened to me).

isnt it the same as the original drain plug?
i assume it goes in with a crush washer?

The correct washers come with it. There are two washers, and they are softer than the normal crush washer. This is what the non-nipple version looks like.

How hard is it to open the valve? Is it safe?

I am really interested, but am scared about how well this thing works.
