I'm 19. American Family Insurance. Have had full coverage insurance since I was 17. No tickets, no wrecks. Around $360/mo if I was the only driver listed and around $150/mo with my mom listed as a co-driver. Deductible at $500, if deductible is at $1,000 my monthly is decreased about $15-$20.

settling for state minimums is not a good idea. say you wreck and hurt someone. then they sue. since your insurance has a low limit, YOU are on the hook for whatever the judgement is. Higher limits cost only a tad more...like 5-10%. Don't cheap out.

I can guarantee in the above situation your insurance will be no help whatsoever. Also, when someone sues, they sue you, not your insurance. many people don't understand that.

Also, you will be required to carry collision and compreshensive insurance if you are buying this with a car loan. this is not a state requirement, it is a loan requirement.

If you have to cheap out in any way on insurance, you cannot afford the car.

What do you plan to do when you need tires? 40K mile all seasons will get you into a wreck FAST.

right..well im 18 and from west virginia...

sorry i cannot spell correctly, i dont care.

anyway...

the s2k im looking at has yoko. avs es100's on it..

im only driving the s2k when want to, say on weekends..

i will use my integra as the daily driver, or my dads explorer

tires will be no problem being that i would pay only about half on a full set...

i know its not a good idea for state minimums..i will see what the premium is with higher coverage...

i guess the truth will really come out tomarrow..i cant wait...im nervous..i cant believe insurance can stop someone from having a nice car...

have you tried the online quotes like geico? they're higher than others so it will give you a nice estimate.

in so cal it's the zip code that matters too. I moved from south OC to North and it went up substantially.

Unfortunately, the s2000 is a high symbol car so you will of course pay a higher premium for it. Also you are an inexperienced driver, and that will also cost you. I pay 1400/yr for full coverage about 120/month. I also work for an insurance company(Liberty Mutual). There is some good news though, Erie is a good company. THey have great rates. THe only catch is, if you have a claim they drop you after they pay it. Just check around you should pay around 160-200/month.

'i'm 23 with an average driving record (a few tickets and 2 accidents) get a creative insurance agent...I've got excellent coverage on 2005 and I pay less than $90/month.

You need to get quotes locally. There are TONS of factors that come into play on insurance rates.

You could take two identical drivers and get quotes done up for two different neighbourhoods in the same city and still be out by more than 30%.
