Default Full Coverage?

I live in South Cali, planing to buy an used S2K, just want to know if s2k is a theft magnet there , how often often do people get into your s2k to steal your stuff by ripping off the soft top? I have no garage, so I have to park on the street. Should I get full coverage? What did you guys bought? Share your thoughts!!

Quoted from Farmer Insurance

Used 2004 S2K, 20 Years old, clean records, for my dad's car and my s2k

$750 / 6 months - Liability + UM

$1250 / 6 months - Full coverage

Full. Always. I have a DD and my s2k, my DD is liability and the s2k is full coverage, it's worth more and significantly more important to me.

Why risk it?

I live in OC and I'm paying about $1900 a year through Farmers: full coverage 25/50/10, 23 year old, no accident, no ticket. S2000s are expensive to insure, but they're not cheap cars, you will cry if something happened to it, at least I would.

If you pay cash you have a choice; if you finance the purchase, you are legally required to carry full coverage in most states.

I have 2 vehicles

92 Eclipse GSX liability only
and my 03 S2 with full coverage

Due to my accident free discount and multi vehicle discount I actually pay less for full coverage on the S2

(My eclipse does not have accident free discount for some reason)

Yes I was in one accident that landed me 2 points, I am 21 and I pay roughly 3k per year for 2 vehicles.

For under 21 in socal you are getting a good deal. Under 21 the S2000 was 4000 a year alone for me here in NJ
