Fuel gushing out of the tank
So I'm filling with gas. Decide to check then tires and hear "water" running. WTF, no water around here. Run around the car and gas is pouring out of the filler. Jerk the hose out and shut the pump off. Gas all over the place. Start the car and drive off. No explosion or fire. Put the cap back on.
The car is running fine and there is no check engine light.
Should I have the car checked out or just forget it?

Ok, I knew to wash the car off. My real question which I probably should have asked directly is whether a one time flooding of the gas tank does some damage to the emission control part that controls tank vapors.
