Do cops really pull you over ONLY for not having front plates?
I didn't have any front plates on my car for the first four months of owning it. Then one day, the police stopped me for not having front plates and they ran up on me HARD. I've kept it on my car ever since because it's just not worth it to me. It's a hassle when police harass you and I also don't want to be pulled over when I actually do have something to hide.

I have mine on. For some reason it doesn't really bother me.

No front plate for me. There was never even one installed on my car at the dealer. They gave me the liscence plate holder to put on when I got my liscence plates, but I just put the bumper plugs in instead and havent looked back. Caps up here can be gay about it sometimes, but usually they are pretty cool about it.

But your officer per capita is probably very low, and your officer per square mile is next to nothing.

Think about this...

If you don't have a front plate, it will give the police reason enough to pull you for suspected DUI, suspected illegal mods or a myriad of other things.

I know this from recent experience.

And were you cited for anything or just pulled over?

I honestly don't know why people are afraid of the police. What are they going to do? Arrest you? For what?

If you're concerned about their treatment of you, get a "Video Surveillance in Operation" sticker, put it on a magnet and slap it on your door when you roll your window down before the officer gets to your door.

If he/she asks where the camera is, you are not required to disclose that information to them, if they ask you to turn it off, tell them no, they have been notified it's in use (just like they have to tell you if they have their camera on, or at least they used to have to tell you that) and if they don't like it, they can leave, the choice is theirs.

Be polite, courteous, if it's night time turn on your dome light, hand them your info and be done with it.

I put the front plate back on....even though I hate how it looks.

Got pulled over the other day and the officer told me to put it on or next time.

So I rock one now.
