I would get a VAFC or some form of ECU tuning... Other mods are nice, but not nessicarry... ECU tuning will help you optimize the power produced by the SC... did I mention I'm jealous? Good luck man!

A decent intercooler will set you back $400 or so. Another cost is the plumbing and fitting. And when you do this I've got first dibs on your aftercooler!

I am not going to get any parts until I get the kit, unless I order exhaust soon. I am hoping that he will be able to get me the kit soon and will let you know when I find out when I will get the kit. Thanks all!

Actually I work for the company that sets up conventions, such as IAS, SEMA, World Tire Expo, and many more things. Its not all car based, but is involved with cars which I like. Marketing is what most of our employees majored in. I am only 18 and am about to start college. If you really want a job go to convexx.com or call them and find out about employment oppurtunities. I am just the mailroom b*tch, i mean clerk. Fine with me, I just got myself a $5,500 bonus with this supercharger. Good Luck Johnny!

You don't really need anything extra to add a Vortech to your car. It's a stand alone bolt on and go system. Sure, you can add a VAFC and "possibly" extract a bit more power but have a look at some of the current threads going on about this topic. It is providing a bit of a tuning headache for some owners. You got the money and resources to deal with that?
A nice header will help the engine breath out better and give some gains but do you wanna spend that kind of money when you're about to start college?
The Vortech comes as a very successful package. Why would you want to mess with it just so people can see that you have a giant intercooler mounted in front of the rad? If you do this, the current state of boost from the blower will be inadequate due to the extra volume and length of piping needed for the "said" intercooler. Your performance will suffer and you'll just think that this kit is a POS.
You may not need anything extra now, but keep popping those pennies into your piggy bank because it's just a matter of time before you'll need a new clutch and if you drive in an abusive manner, you better have those extra pennies to repair the diff too.

Re: the "intercooler", "aftercooler" thing. There may have been an origin to these terms but I think in today's "car talk" language, these two are pretty much interchangeable. The principle is the same no matter which one it is you are talking about, so it really doesn't matter which one you use. People will know what it is. The only difference is the heat exchange medium - air/air, air/water, etc.

So, it's free, huh? And your boss is a very nice man? You are truly a lucky young man. Otherwise, keep your pants tightly cinched up. You just gotta wonder what comes along with a 4000 dollar gift.
