I will need to look in to this... does it matter if you didn't buy them from the dealer or is that important? MY driver belt doesn't retract too well at all...but so used to just feeding it back in manually now...

My passenger side.... sometimes when the passenger tries to pull the seat belt out, it locks half way.. .they have to try and pull it out like 10 x and eventually it'll let them pull it out enough.

I went to the dealer today and they said my recall has been done and I have to call some honda customer number to see if they will replace em.

are you stepping on the brake/moving when it happens? the seat belt is designed to lock like that if you are moving/braking.

Sitting in the parking lot...car off...car on... ebrake up..ebrake down..

Rolling.... 1st 2nd.... it does it when it wants to... and it allows the seat belt out far enough when it feels like it.

Not sure why.

I just took my00 s2k to the honda dealer b/c my seat belts were not retracting correctly. They are going to replace them for FREE Honda has a lifetime warranty on seat belts, if they are torn or do not retract properly. Just FYI!

I took my 86 civic in, and they replaced all my belts. They also gave me a rental for the day.

i read somewhere that if you clean the loops that the seatbelt go thru with rubbing alchol it will fix the seatbelts and make retract alot better.
I did this and it seemed to help a bit. try this out.
