Default FREE SEAT BELT REPLACEMENT

I just took my00 s2k to the honda dealer b/c my seat belts were not retracting correctly. They are going to replace them for FREE Honda has a lifetime warranty on seat belts, if they are torn or do not retract properly. Just FYI!

I'm pretty sure almost every manufacturer has this.

So if I unbolt my seatbelts while they are powered and let them retract into themselves, I can take them back and get new ones for free?!?!

no I didn't do that, but I can see how this "free seatbelt replacement for life" thing could be useful.

im pretty sure seatbelts were only a problem on MY00....can someone verify?

and different manuafacturers have different "safety restraint" warranties. they probobly replaced it under some federal safety restraint warranty,,,, kinda like extended federal emissions ya know?

not trying to be rude, but GrandMasterKhan just said his had the same problem on his 06 so its not just MY00.
it is actually Hondas warranty for all hondas not just s2ks.

So what does Honda consider "not retracting correctly" as? Were they not retracting at all? Were they not retracting all the way so that there isn't any slack? Mine retract most of the way on my MY06 but I have to guide them near the end to take out the slack.
