I found this site this morning with the comptech intake up for sale (I heard they were going out of business). i called to confirm they could still get 'em, but they were closed.

a) yes. b) not really.. maybe a couple whp, but nothing noticeable. mainly for bling & sound

sooooo i got good and bad news....


i just got off the phone with the guys on the site and they told me that they were all sold out, they also heard of comptech closing and they're taking down the product off the site. he then told me i might be able to get my hands on one if i called comptech and he gave me their number.

after talking to a few ppl at comptech, i very nice gentleman told me that they were all sold out, that when they started to close that private parties bought up a lot of intakes (some 20 at a time), and he said they probably won't get more.

THE GOOD NEWS: The nice gentleman than told me that they were trying to work out some deals to keep comptech opened, and that was all he could say, other than that they will know for sure by the end of the month.

I'm excited that they might be back in business - goooooooooo comptech!

 

anyone know why they were even gonna shutdown (comptech)? I thought they were doing so well?

 

hmm as for finding this intake its been old news....comptech closed their doors and even before that it took me like 3 months to get my intake...

On another note thats pretty cool they may be back on track or something, makes not sense to me but hey.

oh and +1 for the little HP gains. After installing mine I pretty much noticed no increase, but it sure sounds/looks cooler. maybe a little weight savings too, probably nothing to write home about tho.
