I think there’s a chance that my 2006 will be back up and running with a stock engine this week. Woohoo!
With oil everywhere, I also made an appointment with a great detail shop that will clean everything.

My S2000 journey so far hasn’t been as smooth as I had hoped for. I definitely love how they drive and probably need to calibrate my own expectations of these aging cars.
The 1-owner low miles 2004 have arrived. I planned on enjoying the car over the long weekend. Unfortunately, that was cut short. Once everything is warmed, I started driving it harder as that’s how I enjoy them. Clutch started slipping when shifting quickly at redline.
The car also has an aftermarket alarm and I strongly dislike them. My bad for not paying more attention. I am hoping it wasn’t a hacked up install and it can be removed cleanly as I would want the car in as original a condition as possible.
Other than that, it’s a fantastic example and I plan on getting it to the best shape possible and enjoy driving it when other cars are down.

My 2006 is back up and running with a new short block from Honda! Close to $20k later, I get to enjoy the car. While there are some additional items to sort, I plan on enjoying it for a bit first.
I was incorrect about my 2004. The clutch isn’t slipping per se. I didn’t realize how much the clutch delay valve affects things. I was shifting too quickly and the clutch hadn’t fully engaged. Luckily, I don’t think I damaged the clutch. As soon as I get the clutch delay valve removed, it should be all good!
I thought I had secured S2000 #3. To my surprise, someone was willing to over pay more than I do and swooped in last minute to win the auction. On well, the hunt for #3 continues…

Thanks, @RAizzle.
There should be some fun and some specials cars incoming. Happy to share more as they show up.
At the moment, I am obsessing over finding S2000 #3. The oddball in me wants another in the same exterior color. However, I have found a couple of potential cars in different colors.
