Put around 150 fun miles on the car so far. No wonder prices are going up. I missed out when they were new because I convinced myself that I am a coupe only person. Hindsight, that was silly!
Steering: quite precise but doesn’t have much feel.
Brakes: fine for the street nothing noteworthy.
Chassis: tighter than I expected by a lot!
Engine: one of the very best!
Quality: mind boggling!
I was expecting to either love the car or hate it. I am glad that I am on the love it side. It’s a 16 years old car and I ran into some very heavy rain, no leak whatsoever!
The engine might not have great area under the curve (I think it’s slower than the 2022 BRZ and my slightly modded 2022 ND2 RF) but it’s one of my favorites (including Ferrari V8s and V12s). The only other VTEC I have experienced is the 2021 Civic Type R. As much as I love the K20C1, I don’t enjoy the FWD dynamics as much. I now understand why VTEC is so cool! It sounds cool, it feels cool, and it makes you want more!

@USN_MSC Well, now I need to buy it quickly. I was figuring out how to make room for it. Since I just blew the 06 up, it’ll be at the shop likely for weeks.
Kinda sad that whoever changed the oil last time (I should have waited until I had a good shop do everything first, appointment is Thursday and I didn’t wait) didn’t do it right. Not the OEM blue oil filter. Not sure if it wasn’t tightened properly or can’t handle the oil pressure, it popped loose.
At the minimum, all new bearings. Hopefully, no damage to crankshaft (likely needs polishing). We will see. I wanted to start building F22C. Now I get to.

At least you have an optimistic view on it and the damage won't hurt you too much $$$ wise, it sounds. Lesson learned and maybe for someone else reading this thread, definitely check for an OEM filter when buying a used one! Ask the seller if they used the OEM filter socket so that it is torque'd down correctly (hand-tight is NOT enough). I've seen some BaT auctions with Wix filters and even one that was a cement-gray colored that was supposedly for Honda motorcycles???

My other thought is going with @ScienceofSpeed K20C1 swap. I would need to check with @ScienceofSpeed as I would need them to get A/C working though.

Now, my question to the community is, (knowing it’s an aging platform) is there a shop in the US that’s willing to take on pretty significant S2000 build?

in stock form, does anyone know what’s the maximum fuel injector duty cycle? I am wanting to understand how much headroom I have before needing bigger injectors.
