Why do you want a spare engine?
You can always wait for a JDM one to pop up. They rarely do, but sometimes 06+ JDM F22's pop up. The advantage there is that they're usually low mileage.
It looks like you got this car for $37K, which is a good deal in today's market. According to the details provided, the dealer's margin was super thin on the sale.

@B serious Thanks.
Why a spare engine? Well, I’d like to build F22C engine as my hobby so mostly wanting to have a couple around trying various combinations.

@B serious , I totally get it. K is the well proved path and much better availability.
Luckily, I am not chasing specific performance or cost targets. So, I prefer to stay with the F. It feels more pure and right.

First impression, after dropping off my 992 GT3T 6-speed and jumping straight to the S2000, I love it and I cannot believe I waited so long.
Until now, I have only heard about the amazing shifter feel. Even just a relatively short drive home, I am impressed and would say it’s one of the best stock shifters that I have experienced (including various GT3s and GT4s).
i appreciate the short gearing so I can experience high rpm as well as shifter more. VTEC makes a great sound and provides drama and entertainment.
As I continue my S2000 journey, I will share more.

Thanks, @Filthy Beast
The stock shift feel is so good, I probably will keep it stock. At some point, I may get bored or distracted and try the Renegade one though.

Did you end up working out a deal on the 04?
