2008 S2000 CR
I have been a bit busy since picking this beautiful CR up from the original owner. Drove from Vegas to Phoenix to visit a friend. The car was perfect.
Oil & filter changed, spark plugs changed, valves adjusted, brake fluid flushed and changed, new RE-71RS tires, alignment done. I will be installing the OEM CR shift knob when I get the chance as the car came with the regular shift knob.
While the CR rides a bit harsher, I find it to be pretty street friendly still. The handling balance is incredible! Other than continuing to improve the condition of the car, I plan on leaving the CR 100% stock.

Love that CR blue - sweet ride! All the CR colors look good, but that blue is just a little extra.
Keeping it stock is not only good for value, but you get to experience what the honda engineers tried to create. You can already take a standard S and make it a track monster - why do it to a limited edition CR? My take anyways.

The @Inline PRO 2.5L finally got installed in my 2006. First, I want to thank John as he has been great to work with before, during, and after my engine order. I have been playing with cars for over 30 years now and John is one of the best to deal with.
I also want to thank Jeff @Evans Tuning. While Jeff is still refining the tune, the car is already running very well. I don’t know how he does it. Jeff has to be the most responsive tuner out there and he’s also one of the best. Thank you for continuing to do what you do.
With slightly higher CR and more displacement, the engine feels more responsive with more torque. I’m also reving it to 9000 rpm and the engine feels quite eager to do that. I have not had a chance to jump into one of my stock S2000s to do a back to back comparison yet as the 2.5L is so enjoyable that I keep wanting to drive it more.
Once the tune is dialed in, I plan on doing another dyno run to see how it does at the moment. Intake and exhaust are still 100% stock at the moment so there are likely restrictions there (I can see around -1 inch of mercury in the intake during WOT but I do not have a EMAP sensor).
If you are on the fence about an InlinePro engine build, I would very much recommend it!

Parts are becoming more difficult to source for the S2000 and I am a coupe person at heart. However, I still have one that’s being built to be a turbo car. I am looking forward to seeing how that drives.
Unfortunately, I did not get a chance to dyno the 2.5L. Somehow, oil got ingested via the intake and I destroyed the engine. John at InlinePro built me a new 2.5L and that newly built F25C is also looking for a new home.

Well, that was a fun read. Little did I know that a half an hour south of me was a guy living out some of my wildest S2K dreams.
Hope to check out that turbo build sometime. I'm on my third s2k. This one, a '00. Previously had a 2003 and 2006. Lots of fun with these at the track. Have you been to The Ridge?
I also have a tune from Jeff Evans @Evans Tuning . Excellent experience, and the mid range torque increase on this config was huge. Feels almost like I imagine a F22 would if you mated it with the taller gearing of the AP1.
