Follow up on Hyperwhite Map Lights.
Well...after much thought and debate i picked up a pair of Polarg M-16 Maplights this evening.
To my surprise they looked exactly like a pair of "PIAA T-6" Bulbs that i used in my previous Acura CLtypeS.
Initially i thought the bulbs didn't fit due to the increased diabulb diameter of the bulb vs. stock bulbs.
I tried prying one side....fit the bulb in just to realize that the metal socket hinges were too loose. I tried to clamp 'em back together and WALLAH...let there be light.
I forced the other side to go in and it actually fits in easily.
I also tried the PIAA's and both lights look identical.
Given our maplights are a "2-step Brightness" the Hyperwhiteness of the initiall lumination looks slightly yellow untill you get to step 2.
This is when the tru hyperwhiteness stands out.
This is unfortunate since i enjoyed the etreme brightness of the bulbs to the gradual darkness in my acura vs. having the lights cut power as the door shuts.
In all a decent investment. I think i could have lived without em.
I will post picts if anyone on the board will help me out.
