S2KPUDDYDAD, how much did that cost to fix? the same exact thing happened last night to my car when i lost control, spun out and hit a curb.

i didnt have a camera on me but it looks exactly like s2kpuddydad's pic, only theres more of a curb rash on the rim

I don't think that's actually puddydad's car, he's got a suzuka. If you need a wheel/tire let me know, I've got 3 lying around that I'd like to get rid of.

shop assesed the damage, 8k for everything (suspension work needed too )

I did the same thing. Hit a curb, my wheel/rotors tore completely off and rolled 200 yards down the street. $9.5k worth of damage and counting.

All these 'damage' pictures reminds me of my college roommate's Triumph Spitfire. It lost a rear wheel just outside of San Antonio on the freeway back in 1967. We never found it. It rolled into a ravine never to be seen again. Don't think he had hit a curb though I did back it into a snow bank in Colorado once after spinning it in the snow.
