You call that snow? You don't know what snow is like. We just had 35 cm falling on top of a 25cm snowfall left over from last week here in Ottawa. It hasn't been above freezing for over a month. There is snow on my balcony that is waist high at the low point and chest high at the high point. I don't think the balcony is designed to hold that kind of weight, but am worried what will happen when I add my weight to the snow's when I go to shovel it off. My S2000 is happy in its parking space and I took the bus to work this morning. I'll likely be doing that tomorrow as well.

I say go with the Bridgestone WS-50's (I think that's the model #).

They are beasts. Haven't used them myself but people have used them and if you read their ratings on tirerack.com, they beat all competition.

lol... 35 cm is quite a bit though. Thats like 13 inches, right?
here in SLC we got 8 inches and then 9 inches. (only time I got stuck was in my driveway... )

It kinda sucks using the s2k as a beater though, I need to get something with AWD, I haven't tried it yet... but I'm not looking forward to having to take it up to the slopes ...don't ask me why, but for some reason I put the winter tires on the s2000 instead of the G... It has been really easy to control in the snow/ice though, thanks to my leet auto-x/drifting skills

There is beautiful Rocky mountain powder and there is saturated semi-frozen brown glop and I do give props for safely driving in the eastern muck.

Yes, I know you get a lot of snow in the great white north - I live in PA and I managed to clear out 12 " (30 cm) this morning for the drive to work. And that is why my "S" is permanently parked till April - next trip will be WTD08 -

As for the pics, your right - it isn't a lot of snow, but on summer only performance tires How much snow do you need? Anyway, glad to hear you have options to running your car in this crap (I know its white, but it still is crap! ).
