Well, I have had the car for only about a month and got my first ticket yesterday. A co-worker asked for a ride after work, and we were just tooling around on a country road when a cop car crested the hill in the opposite direction. He was using instant-on radar, so the warning from my Bel was too late. He wrote me up for 67 in a 55. Bummer. At least in Texas, you can take Traffic School and get the ticket dismissed for only court costs plus the school fee. I have to remember that this car sticks out a little more than my truck.

Ouch, sorry to hear that Instant on radar? Every cop that I pass my detector picks him up, I can't count how many times that thing has saved me here in North Dallas, where the cops are thick! Are you sure your detector is up to snuff?

Yeah, my detector has saved me numerous times. I was actually doing around 70 when I saw him and got it slowed to 67 when he clocked me and my detector went off. I have been thinking about a Valentine One, but nothing would have saved me this time. I probably would have been given a warning if I was in my truck. But, after the cop gave me my ticket, he did say "That sure is a nice car".
