I wouldn't be really concerned, but just FYI I heard that all current Hondas use 5W-30 EXCEPT for the S2000. There's a TSB that says that the oil specified in the manual is incorrect and that you should use 10W-30 oil - the 2002 manual has this update. It's possible that the techs didn't realize (or remember) this when they added your oil.

Actually, the owner's manual recommends 7,500 miles or ONE YEAR under normal conditions. If your year isn't up, hang in there for 7,500 miles.

[How did we get two similar oil change threads going at once here. ]

I changed my oil filter (only) at 1875 miles.

When the car is cold, it's easy to change the filter and only lose about 0.3 qt of oil.

Then at 3750 I changed both the oil and filter, and will do so forever onward.

I've learned that API-SL oil is soooo good, synthetic no longer makes sense anymore, unless you use the racetrack. The oil companies are playing games with what passes as synthetic anyway.

I just posted this on another forum ... went to get my oil changed at the Honda dealer I bought my car from and they told me they would not change the oil until 7500 miles or 6 months had passed (no exceptions). This surprised me, but he told me it was based on information from Honda and the fact that there were additives in the oil to help during the break-in period. I was surprised as I have ~4000 miles on my car and figured it was time for an oil change based on the severe conditions schedule.

Oil is cheap, engines are not. If you love your car and intend to keep it for a long time, I would suggest following the severe schedule anyway!
