first mod when FI is in the future?
I plan on purchasing and installing the comptech supercharger before the summer is over. I have a bone stock 2001 s2k with 25,000 miles on it. My question is what would be the first things to change considering a supercharger is in the future. I don't want to buy things that are going to be replaced when the supercharger is installed ie. CAI. Would putting headers and a catback be a good idea or should I just immediately swap out the differential because I know thats gonna go quick with all of that hp. Thanks in advance.

What are you going to swap the differential with? The comptech reinforced diff isn't worth the money IMO.

Just hold off on the rear diff for now. There really isn't much of a problem with the factory diff unless you launch the car from a roll. There are guys with 400+whp still on the factory diff without any problems.
My suggestion for your first mod would be the clutch. The factory clutch isn't always upto the task for a supercharger. Then headers and exhaust.

For the author of this thread,
You have a year 2001 car. For added insurance you might consider putting in the revised 4-hole oiljet bolts to improve under cylinder cooling and lubrication. This is not absolutely required but would give added peace of mind. I've been Vorteched (stock) for over 2 years and 20 something miles and the oiljet bolts were the first thing I did when the blower went on. I'm still on the stock clutch and am running the stock rear diff with 4.44s.
