im not one of those rich boy amateurs that just got s2k, ive had past experiance with manual cars. so i dont think i need driving school. i mean im not saying im the best driver, but im not driving the car like an idiot.
Things like:
Braking in a turn, shifting hard in a turn, hitting vtec in a turn.....
Can cause you to throw that rear out very easily if you dont know what your doing. Its much different than a doing things like that in say a Front Wheel Drive Integra GSR....
I have only had my s2k for a few weeks now and a driving class is definately in the plans. Ive read too many post in the last year while lurking about.... "Ive had my s2k for one month and I just totalled it when my rear broke loose"

I'm pretty sure he gets the idea about driving school - everybody knows you don't go there to learn how to drive stick.
Anyways -- a straightforward response is yes, go with the cai as your first modification. It cleans up the engine bay, gives you a nice growling sound at vtec and lets your car breathe better on hot days. My second mod was a aem v2, exhaust being the first.

my first mod was cheap (free)-
it was those later mods that used $$-
i tightened my throttle cable... made a difference on the '00s.
not sure how tight the new ones are.
check it out-

how do i get to it? and where is it? haha
have someone else push down on the pedal while you are looking at the engine-
pretty easy to find when you do it that way!
once you locate it, if the cable has much "play" in it, you might get some benefit by reducing the slack.

As for lowering the car, yeah it looks better. But mind you that this car's stock suspension is extremely impressive, and most of the people on this board will never reach the limits of this car on a consistant basis.
We know from experience, we've driven the car, most of us have had track time, some of us more extensive than others.
I was like you when I got the car wanted to do 18 different things to it - I didn't because some of the vintage people here gave me some good advice not to. I'm so glad I listened.
This is no Civic or intega, although they are both nice cars. This is a different beast.
We are only trying to help you!
With that being said, Comptech CAI and a test pipe!
Luke
