Dumping the clutch at 5,500 rpm's is not for a good launch, that's if you want to do a nice burn-out.

If you want wheelspin in your AP2, or a mediocre to moderately good launch (I am no expert at drag racing, but I can at least get wheelspin on demand), do the following:
Rev to 5.5-6k, sidestep the clutch, don't let it out slowly, sidestep it. By this, I mean, have just the edge of your foot on the clutch, and quickly move your foot out of the way (off to the side) of the clutch so it slams upwards. The CDV will let the clutch take a little of the driveline shock, and then after that your clutch will catch and you'll have as much wheelspin as your heart desires.

On the contrary... if you leave it in and drive spirited.....it will shorten the life of the clutch.

Well, it helps Honda though! Honda probably doesn't need replace your clutch when its worn, but probably need to replace your diff from warranty if you know how to bend around the rules a little bit
