Beware of PeopleFirst's criteria. They only offer their lowest rates to those with EXCELLENT credit. The catch is their idea of excellent credit is much more stringent than other companies (to the tune of 100 pts. or so).
For example, I fell into the least desirable catagory, 9.5% APR, with PeopleFirst, but got the lowest rate with my credit union (7.15% APR). I fail to see how I could be highly desireable to one company and not to another.
I was not a member of the credit union when I applied, but when I went in to sign the papers, they opened an account for me on-the-spot.
