Finally happened - S2000 Stolen
#21
Sorry to hear about your loss. It doesn't matter where your neighborhood is; if there's an opportunity, thieves will take it. I understand that garages can be limited if you don't have your own house but the S2000 really needs to reside overnight in them. I can totally relate to what you're going through because my Integra was stolen, stripped and dumped downtown all within 24 hours. The cops didn't even care to fingerprint or anything. Insurance just cut me a check which was a whole ordeal in itself because they wanted to give me the value of an LS model instead of my GS-R's value. Hopefully you have full coverage and get full retail of the current market value of the S.
I would highly suggest not getting another S until you can shelter it in a garage because if they've found you now and know your schedule, they'll take your next one... and the next one... Best of luck to you!

Not as difficult as you think. Defeat of the "immobilizer" is only limited to the amount of time you have to swap the ECU and the key cylinder.

Thats crazy. I stay at Park Place Towers not too far from you. I think I've seen your car a number of times parked outside when looking for parking with my Girlfriend's car (I take her garage parking and park her car outside when I have the S down there)
My Civic got stolen on Irving Park and Sheridan in 05, so I feel for you. Hope those thieves get what they deserve.

sorry to hear this, when i bought my car, i was completely unaware of the honda car culture, if i knew what i know now i may never have made the purchase. but to be honest i have never regretted owning this car one bit. but it's better to have loved and lost, than to never have loved at all.
