Bought my 2001 S2000 Friday at Gunn Honda in San Antonio. The only problem with this dealership is that they force options on you. However, I wanted to have some of the options anyway so I'm not complaining. Actually, I just bought the options I wanted. Other than that, they people there are terrific. Ask for Tommy Thompson if you want to buy an S. By the way they do not have a waiting list. My VIN for some of you VIN junkies is JHMAP11441T000203.

The weather has been so crappy that I have only driven it once (the day I bought it). Tomorrow is going to be bad also. That is why I have a Del Sol VTEC for these bad days.

The joys of owning a real sports car.

You may have to buy them but they don't HAVE to install them. I had to take the rear spoiler but I told them just to leave it in the box where it remains to this day.

Good choice on the color.

Hope you can join us Friday for happy hour. Congrats on the S2K, and anticipate the day you get 600 miles and move into vtec land.

This could be the 20th VIN for the accessories drawing. Look for the thread for Rick Hesel about the drawing, Austin.

Ordered my Silver bullet in July from Port City Honda in Corpus. Dealer isn't really sure of ETA. In fact he's not to sure of the MSRP for the 2001's.
Question for you.
When did you order yours??
Answer might give me a clue as to when to expect mine.
Thanks
Chuck

Congrats, Austin_S2000.

I know what you mean about the bad weather here in Austin. I've only driven mine 3 or 4 times in the last month! It's killing me!

BTW, do you work at Dell?

Chuck actually I did not order mine from Gunn Honda in San Antonio. I orginally ordered my Spa Yellow in Dallas, which I have given up. It was due to come in at the end of Novemeber. But I did not like the color. So I walked into the dealership at Gunn and just asked about availability and he told me that I could have it in a week. Super easy! By the way MSRP was $32,740.

I will not be able to attend this weeks get together. I really would like too and was planning on it. I am headed to Las Vegas Wednesday thru Friday for COMDEX. Should be a lot of fun. If anybody would like to meet Saturday, I am definitely game.

See ya and can't wait for 600miles.

Thanks Rick for posting my VIN, thought I was too late. 400 more miles before we have VTEC engagement!
