That said, though, I'm sure I'll change to fresh fluid before my next event. The stuff's cheap, and Speedbleeders make the process a snap.

Great post, John. You sound like you really had an excellent time, that's aweome!
You really don't discover what the S2000 is truly capable of until you get it on a road course. Being able to push the car like that just doesn't (and shouldn't) happen on the street.
Glad you had such a good time!

That is a great write up! I had a similar experience at Sears Point taking the Rusell Racing perofmance Driving Course. It is amazing what our car can do when driven by a pro. My instructor pushed the car easily to close to the limits and the car just handled amazingly. i could never come close to some of his exit speeds, but then again I , too, was working on the right line most of the time. I concur that ALL S2000 owners should do this if they get the chance! it aint cheap, but worth it!
For those in N. Cal, there is a class set up for S2000's only scheduled already. Check it out at in the Bay Area forum.

The Speedtrial event that will be hosted at Streets of Willow will OEM roll hoops at this particular track. Since, speeds on this track are relatively low, STUsa is allowing S2k's on date. You are correct they will not allow S2k's on bigger tracks where speeds are high. In face our last event at the Big track of willow, there was a brand new M5 who spun on turn 9 going about 105 mph. He was a very lucky individual to walk away from that spinout.. he broke some suspension and wheels. wow what a way to drive an $80k+ car
In meantime I am currently trying to develop a safety bar that will allow S2ks to all events.
