one can view them as fighting words, or view it as a compliment that they keep referring to the S2000 as a source of comparason. Makes life a lot easier to live when I see it that way...otherwise I'd have to race everything that moved
The 3.5 the Z will have will be a torque monster compared the the hi revving F20, but come on, using displacement to out torque the Honda is too easy right?

does anyone think that the new Z can outhandle the S? Looking at the car and specs, I don't think that the Z will be as nimble as the S. As for the power, you can't count out Nissan, but what do you expect from a 6 cylinder. Tell Nissan to build it with a 4 cylinder and try to achieve what Honda has. You can't expect much torque from a high rpm 4 cylinder. I personally do not have anything against the Z, in fact I like the car, but when a manufacture tries to put down another sports car ecspecially MINE, then I get offended.
You can talk sh*t about me and my lifestyle, but DON'T EVER talk sh*t about my car!

I don't think that this car will sell as well in europe as the S. Gas guzzlers don't go down to well when fuel costs 70 pence ($1.20) per litre and when road tax is worked out on pollution. The S is a far better option for us Brits.

I can't remember if it was the same article but one of the designers/engineers for the Z specifically didn't want the car to have the "go-cart" feeling of the S2K. I think the Z is being targeted for a slightly different market. We'll see if Honda responds. I hope they don't.

How can one even compare the two? The new Z looks cool, but it's a coupe! No way do I trade in my lovely S2000 roadster for a hardtop! Come on, folks -- different appeal entirely. My first sports car was the 3rd 240Z in Michigan. And I had another one, later. Good cars, and it looks like the 350Z is trying to re-capture what the 240Z had, that later versions of it lacked, but it was never designed to be anything like the S2000.
