Man, u guys spend a great deal of time with your cars. About the only thing I do for my S is get the bugs off the front after each drive so the acid will not eat into the paint then z-6 the rest of it. Only wash it when it gets rained on.

Asif: Congrats man. You have most definitely pegged -more like blew out of the water, onto another planet- the "analometer" for S2K owners, IMHO.

[B]Some of you are way more anal about keeping the car clean than I am.

The only one thing no one has mentioned is:

I move the seat all the way back everytime I get out of
the car so that when i get back in I don't accidentally
crease the leather. i only started doing this after the 4th day

You are the only sane one. It is only a car.

The rest of us are insane idiots, myself included.

I admire you.

A doctor who offices right next to me drives his Suzuka Blue to work every day and parks it right between our offices. Lots of people, having seen all my photos, think it is my Silverstone, but my Silverstone rarely goes out for mundane tasks like driving to work.

Mine is like the car only driven by the little old lady to church on Sunday, except that I'm not a lady and I don't go to church.

I have an old pair of shoes that I wear whenever possible just for the S. It's the feel of the clutch through these shoes that I'm most familiar with.

I have kissed the car on occasion.

I run my fingers on beautiful lines on the outside of the door when I drive.

I play with the soft rubber around the windshield at stop lights.

Man... if my S was a woman =P

Since I plan on keeping mine for a long time, I want to minimize wear on the engine. If I'm going to wash her on a day that I won't be driving her, I'll push her out of the garage (slightly uphill - ), do the wash, then roll her back afterwards. That brief startup would be hell on the engine!

I am printing this out to show to some of my friends that think that I have an unhealthy S2k obsession. Looks like I have plenty of company!

When I come to a stop, I always have to shake the shifter around a bit before I feel comfortable letting the clutch out. Same thing when I start the car.
