Are you sure you didn't drive a civic?
I also think the steering on the S has sort of a "dead" feel. This is the only thing I don't like about the car.

Initial turn in on my car is poor, even thoug the car handles great. I'll play with alignment and tires when the weather is better to see if I can improve things.

Been in love with 'em ever since the SSM concept (early '98). I still have magazines

It's easily my all-round favorite car. Even if I had several millions of dollars and owned a few supercars, I'd still have an S2000 around

I was at the dealership looking at 350Z's... Drove it and felt like it was a little on the chunky side... Saw the S and the salesman suggested we drive it... Knew almost nothing about them, had only seen maybe 2 in person; and never looked close...

Drove it, bought it and loved it more every day since.
I've always loved the S2k ever since it came out and knew quite a bit about the car since its introduction.

Oddly enough, I was not originally trying to get one when I was car shopping in January. You see, my father who works part time at Autoway Nissan in Brandon Fl
Told me to come by and take a look at some used 350 Zs they had on the lot that were lease returns with low miles. I drove a few but all they had was base models.

Thats when I saw it. MY04 which is what I always wanted. Drove it and have been hooked ever since

wanted one since they came out. couldn't afford one all thru college. I graduated got a good job, got married and built a house. I thought my s2k days were over- but Im still young, and the wife and I decided against kids for a few years, I bought her an Xterra so we could have one practical car that I could use to pull the boat, and drive up to the slopes- I pondered the idea of a 06' White on black with a hardtop- thought Id get it and drive it for a year, and then supercharge it. I was literally a day away from placing my order when I stumbled across my baby on ebay- An older gentleman who babied the car in every sense, bought the car at MSRP, dumped 15k in it sparing no expense for anything but the best. Comptech SC, Comptech Exhaust, Comptech X Brace, 18" Work S2Rs, OEM Hardtop, Car Cover all while only managing to pile up 8k miles. I called him- made an offer, he accepted, i flew to California 2 days later and drive my baby home. Suprised my wife and all. Wouldnt have done it any other way.

Back in late '99 or early '00 my wife and I went with a friend to the Honda dealer - he was shopping for a Civic. We sat in a red S2k on the showroom floor - vroom vroom noises and a snick snick thru the gears - I was in love but no way could we afford a car like that. Over the next few years, she bought a Civic and I got an '03 Accord coupe but never got over my lust for the S2k. Last March, just for fun, I started looking around and found an '00 Silverstone for sale - by a guy who lived 10 minutes away. One test drive later and we were making a deal. Love at first sight and nearly six years to consummate the affair. They say good things are worth waiting for. They're right!

back in 99 when the S was released I instantly hated it. I was a die hard german fan, and I didn't like the fact that this little honda, the maker of the dreaded civic, was such a sweet ride. After a few years I forgot about the car. Then I was looking for another vehicle.. something sporty yet upscale and not "boy racer" style like the EVO. Someone suggested the S2k.. I went to test drive one, fell in love, and made a purchase 2 weeks later

For me it was love at first sight.

I didn't even know the car existed until after I bought my '01 Odyssey. I had the van in for it's first oil change and there the S2000 was, sitting nice and shiney on the show room floor. I drooled over the car for 2.5 year while working a second job to pay off the Odyssey so I could afford to buy the S2000.

It was "well" worth the wait!

Drive Safe,

I loved it the first time I saw it. I ordered mine and put a deposit before I even drove one. I had planned to not drive one until mine arrived on the truck, but my wife made me go drive one two weeks before mine arrived. Haven't regreted a moment since then.

It was August, 1999, I was working near Osaka Japan. I was getting ready to go back to United States after 2 years there. Just doing my usual shopping, and all of the sudden, a berlina black pulled in front of the train station. I've never seen it before, and I saw some punk (rich) Japanese kid driving it. Love at first sight, however. I thought to myself that I have to pwn one. 6.5 years later, I owned an AP2 which is many times upgraded from the 99 AP1 and cost alot less than how much that punk kid's parents paid for.

Just wished I had my youth back.
