Default Fell into some luck yesterday : ) (Pics added)

Some kid at a local meet was telling me about this shift knob he had laying around that he took off a car at this auto auction place he works at called NADE. So I wasn't all that interested because I was thinking of picking up a voodoo knob or ARC Ti, but then he mentioned that theres a S2000 engraved on the top of it...hmmm interesting...maybe it's actually nice.

So I caught up with him yesterday when one of my buds said he was going to a meet tonight, and he was telling my friend to tell me to go so I could check it out. Good thing I decided to go cuz even though it was 30 degrees or some crazy shit like that because it turned out to be a Voodoo pearl aluminum knob with the Rick's S2000 engraved on top of it!!!!! haha

I ask how much, and he says $20 MWAHAHAHA picked that sucker up right quick, and installed it today... Feels great, real nice shift action. Only downside is that the S2000 engraving is upside down so it faces the windshield!??! Is there anyway to fix that? I'm guessing it came off an AP1 or something with less/more threads or something. But overall, I'm psyched!

You REMOVE the nut and then put on the shift knob. It will line up correctly on its own.

Yeah, when you removed the OEM knob, there should be a stop nut there, or whatever it's called. Screw in the new knob to the height you want, and also have the logo line up a little off. Then you wanna use a wrench/pliers on the nut counter-clockwise while turning the knob clockwise at the same time. Both item with lock itself in place. You might need to do it a couple of times to align the logo.

Guys you remove the nut completely. You do not need the locking nut. Once its removed you will be good to go.

put some lock tight on the threads and screw it down as far as you can with the logo facing the right way. no locknut on a ricks knob.

i love mine, though it is collecting scratches fast

I took the locknut completely off when I took the OEM shift knob off...or else it'd pretty much defeat the purpose of the countersunk effect. I tried to get it to line up a few times as my friend was saying I gotta play around with it a bit to get the threads to line up, but that really didn't make sense to me cuz it'd only screw on one way huh? LOL

Also, how the hell do I post pics? do i need a membership? I still haven't gotten a membership but would like to post a few pics up for ya's.
