Default It feel faster..

Before I bought my S 2 months ago
I though it would be faster than when I finally got it. Now with 1800 miles on it and after taking it autocrossing and drag racing, it definately feels faster. Is it just my imagination or is it actually getting faster?

you can never trust feelings, they really do fool you. Sometimes the car feels fast, sometimes slow, matter of the mood you're in I guess.

It's not your imagination. The S2000 continues to go faster and faster until about 25,000 miles, when it turns into pure energy. Difficult to get a decent trade-in price after this happens!

I noticed the same thing about my car... some days it feels fast, other days it can feel kinda sluggish... although I think it seems to depend on temperature. On colder days, it does feel faster... it also seems slower after driving around for an extended period of time (> 1 hr or so).

Drive it like it a Miata for week or two, you know set the imaginary reline at 6,000 RPM's or so (no v-tech).

Then let it rip and you'll be amazed how fast it really is!
