Copy and pasted from Wikipedia, not sure if there are other years as well for the GT model, but it does indeed exist in Europe.

GT (UK - 2009)
In the United Kingdom, the 2009 model was offered in both roadster and GT trim. The GT featured a removable hard-top and an outside temperature gauge. On-the-road prices of these trims were £27,300 and £27,850 respectively.

Ultimate Edition and GT Edition 100 (Europe - 2009)
The S2000 Ultimate Edition (continental Europe) and GT Edition 100 (UK) were limited versions of the S2000 released to commemorate the end of production. Both included Grand Prix White body colour, removable hard top, graphite coloured alloy wheels, red leather interior with red colouring for stitching on the gear lever gaiter. The Ultimate Edition was unveiled at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show and went on sale in March 2009.[sup][16][/sup]

The GT Edition 100 was a limited run of 100 units released for the UK market. In addition to the Ultimate Edition's specification, it featured a black S2000 badge and a numbered plaque on the kick-plate indicating which vehicle in the series it was.[sup][17]

Going back to the topic, I had my friend's dad who is ~6'10", 300+ lbs sit in the car, but I don't think he was too comfortable and I'm not sure he could have made it out of the driveway.

LOL

Your telling me you like the glovebox location?
It's not so much like or don't like but my first car was a Fiero so I'm use to rear center glove compartment.
And I agree with you in that the OP shoud look into other options [which I'm sure he is] I just don't think the S2K is too small for us fatties.

I gotta go eat now...

I'm 185-190 and am pissed every time I try to get something out of the glovebox while seated. Who thought of putting the box there is imo a fail. I would say 200 lbs is max and that will be cramped. This car is built for 130 lb 5'4" Small people imo. I feel like its just not right in comfort at 6' 1" 185#.
Just chiming in - this also seems like a strange post to me. I'm also 5'11", 230 and have no problems either with ingress/egress or negotiating the glovebox. Maybe I'm just more flexible and/or younger? Anyway, I don't feel cramped in the S at all, so I would also say taking 200 lbs as an upper limit is way too low. Of course, I'm used to small cars, so maybe that's why I feel this way. Bliss, are you used to larger cars?

Good luck with the weight loss, OP!

Thanks everyone, I am going to ask in the UK section if anyone in my town is free for me to try sitting in the drivers seat for a minute as their are none for sale in my erea at present.

I will keep everyone updated, I will enjoy looking back on this threadin a year or so when I am deep into the 2XX's

Oh and Bliss, I would love a mustang, I grew up watching the dukes of hazard as a kid and have a fondness for muscle in general, but over here in the UK the prices for a decent 60's mopar are astronomical, due to all the rain would be garaged all the time, and a LHD modern one is not a lot cheaper plus impractical etc - cool cars though

^Sorry man I missed the UK part.

Sit in a few s2000's my 200 lb max some say is too low and it may be. I'm
Just saying for the most part any car this size is going to have issues with comfort. For me I dont even like having my wallet in my back pocket. I take it out and put it in the glovebox when I drive. When on long drives it feels a bit awkward. For me I think If I get the seat lowered some of the problems will go away. Like armrest and not having to duck to see traffic lights.
Anyway driving the s makes me forget about my minor complaints.

Good luck and keep up the good work!

Rob S101, use the S2000 as a motivator. Don't let anyone or anything stop you for achieving your dreams. I say, losing weight is your primary goal facilitated by getting into an S2000. For that matter, if you can lose the weight, you'll be able get into more than just an S2000!

I was 225 lbs at 5' 9. I fit fine in the s2000, my pants... not so much. I spent the better part of a year getting to 175 lbs. The car still fits and now my pants also fit. But I did pick up about a second going from 0 to 60.

Make it a goal to fit in the car. Lose some weight because you will have issues with your legs/thighs and steering wheel since there is no adjustable steering column in this car.
