Faded tail light

Faded tail light
I am currently looking at buying a MY00 silverstone w/ 81000 miles. I am trying to bring my dealer down below the $14,500 range... reasonable?
Anyways, to the point: The tail lights are faded. Now, it's not the circular lens itself but rather the reflector beside it that is faded. Is this pointing to a new tail light assembly or something that I can fix?? Any help is appreciated!

Depending on the vin number, there is a SAFETY RECALL on the tailights fading for early model year 2000 cars. If this is a Honda dealer, they should already know that.
If it is a different dealer, talk to your local Honda dealer and they should do it for you regardless.
Good luck,
Hockey
p.s. While your at it, make sure they did the spark plug recall and seatbelt auto-tensioner recall. All these are RECALLS and not TSBs so the dealer is obligated.

While you are at it, don't forget the boot cover recall for the early MY00s as well.
But instead of asking about all the specific recalls, I'd just take the VIN and go to any Honda dealer service department and ask what recalls are still outstanding (i.e., has not been completed) for the car. Good luck.

Yup, any honda dealer should be able to run your VIN and see which recalls have been performed. Obviously the Taillight recall is outstanding, which would leave me to believe others might be as well.
