Default Factory tonneau cover w/hardtop

Hello all, I just picked up a 2000 GPW with the factory hardtop. The car did not come with the factory tonneau cover. Will the tonneau cover fit with the HT on? Thanks, any info for a new guy would be great!!

no it will not

the tanneau will cover the attachment points on the HT.

Most people do not use theirs anyway since they are a pain in the ass to put on and take off.

no problem, btw you need to change your status from Enthusiast to Owner. And welcome to Ownership, and congrats.

You should also check in with the regional forum and hopefully your area has a good active group.

I always keep the tonneau cover on my S, but that's because it's usually parked in my garage and rarely driven nowadays so I don't have to struggle taking the cover off all the time.

yeah mine is stored in my room by the closet lol but yeah its pretty time consuming to take it off and on, when the rain hits its terrible to pull over. but make the car look a little cleaner but not worth the time, unless ur goin top down for the whole ride
