Factory - Fill Oil

There is no special factory fill from Honda. The moly found in the oil is exactly what you would expext to find in any motor where a quality assembly lube was used.

There is some discussion as to the use of synthetic oil during the first few thousand miles due to the use of FRM cylinders in the S.

Eh? Where do you get that from?

RoadRage (a tribologist), among others, did an analysis of the factory fill finding very high moly levels as well as some other interesting additives. This mix is not the same as any standard consumer dino oil. Factory reps in the early AP1 days also confirmed the use of a break-in oil to help properly seat everything.

You also won't find this same chemistry in factory fill oil in other new cars regardless of your assertion that it derives from "assembly lubes."
