Factory alarm on '07?

yes I have the blinking red light too but don't know what it does.

Early on when I had my car, I climbed into the driver's seat with the top down without using the doors, keys still in my hand.....the car horn started blasting till I inserted the key...

Does my car have the optional alarm?

still dunno to this day as the manual is in Japanese....
that's just the warning that you should use the doors when getting into the car so you don't damage anything.

An alarm is a Honda accessory and can be had for about $800 (installed) at your local dealer.

$800?! What a rip-off!

Mine is at my closest Viper-authorized shop this morning for a 5900 with back-up battery & radar module, installed for $599 (no remote start but with remote door locks and trunk).
