Straight up as my post states about the hydrolock issue I need an engine. There's one problem I'm not rich. Do you think I could build a stroker cheaper than 2500 bucks or the cost of a short block.

I need a short block. With the number 4 cylinder problems along with the oil squirters, do I really want a 2.0 for 2500?
I read where a guy built a 2.4 for 1800. Have the 2.4 proved themselves yet? Which would you choose for better reliability? Boost wise would the 2.4 hold up better than 2.0?
P.S I have searched for days for definite answers. I just want honest answers backed by facts or experiance.
Thanks in adance.
Mike

Are you talking about the one who made a B.C clone or the one who has around 12000 miles on his. Granted that's nice I'd like to see if more than one guy has done it trouble free? By the way I read all 16 pages lol. I havnt seen anyone make the jump to FI while stroked in the budget route. I am very intrested. If it wasn't those two please supply me with a link thanks in advance.

Those were the ones I was referring to. Have you tried contacting Inline Pro? The do special builds and could point you towards the most *economical* way for your build.

I have 3 intercoolers,4 turbos 3 t25s and one 16g,boost controller,255 fuel pump, blow off valves,as you can see it wouldn't take much more to complete the fi part if it would hold up.

Lol funny guy lol. No I love boost I'm no rich guy but I like it they may not produce blistering hp but they will do the job specially while the 16g has 35 miles on it. Also stroked it would have a limit of 7500 rpms if you go by what hondata set them at for the k24. Which is close to what the redline of an eclipse is.
Furthermore the the T25 starts making power at 2000 rpm and since the S lags on the low side would help it right? Since it runs on 12 psi stock that's close to what a stock bottom end can hold with a thicker headgasket.
I'm in a constant battle to keep the 2.0 or go 2.4 but if I did I'd like to know if it would hold up to boost or would it be a short trip back to the drawing boards again which I can't handle. Only downside to dsm turbos are they are water cooled.
