Hydrolocked?

I Hydrolocked my gsr motor via CAI in my Old Integra. Insurance paid $6,000+ for ACURA to install a brand new crate motor. I believe a F20C will be respectively higher.

Call around or talk to one of the board sponsors that sell Honda vehicles. Any dealer can order a motor and you might as well as support a board sponsor. They might even discount it as well.

If depends on what full of water means. If the engine was running and water got into it, and then stalled it, that could be bad. You could have bent valves among other major damage. If the motor wasn't running and water got into, that is a better scenario. Unfortunately, taking the motor apart is the only way to find out. Sealers and gaskets would definitely need to be replaced; most other parts would need a good cleaning while other would need to be replaced.

I had my short block replaced for Hydrolock. it was covered under my INS comp. I only had to pay the deductable. The bill for parts and labor was 5k.

You can get a decent shape engine with under 15k miles on it with the trans for under 5k. Maybe even around 4k. If its got water but was not really running or running for a minute or two it can be saved. Just drain her. Manually crank her. tp Get the water out. Get the water out asap. The oil will turn to "coffee yogurt". It happens with marine motors. Its a bitch. Sorry to here about this

Since the motor is basically gone, I suggest you go get a JDM motor. There are many places where you can get them and they have more compression than the USDM motors. PM VaporS2K, I believe he might still be interested in departing with his JDM engine. If you are wondering, yes, it is a clean swap.

11.7:1 and 11.0:1, JDM and USDM respectively.
