F&%$#*^ing road debris!

Sorry to hear. I can identify--I had a $900 repair from road debris a year or so ago--a truck threw a rock into the side of the car. I hope it gets fixed quickly and without any more frustration than it's already caused.
I drove past a complete transmission on the freeway once. It was in the next lane over. I did a double and triple take. It must have fallen off a flat bed or something. My coworker had a screwdriver hit and bounce off his windshield. Glad the pointy end wasn't going at him!

All.. you just gotta love the Baltimore Beltway ... I was behind an 18 wheeler ... and ..... you guessed it .... one of the tire treads decides to come off .......Not alot I could do ... an 18 wheeler on one side of me and a 4 wheeler on the other .. all of us traveling about 65MPH ... All I can say is .. I'm glad I decided to take the 4Runner that day .... Nothing like being 2 plus feet off the ground and having to ride over some rubber alligator ......

I was following a flatbed pickup truck last week when a DeWalt 18 volt battery fell onto the road. It stood straight up when i hit it. I was the Pinball Wizard for 2 seconds. All I saw in the mirror was debris. No apparent damage- just a lot of noise.
Flatbed pickups can be trouble.
