Extremely Dirty Cabin Air Filter
#21
So, inspired by this thread, I changed my cabin filter again. I first did it about 25k miles ago, which for me is about a year and a half. I didn't realize how quickly these things get dirty. The first time I just figured the PO never changed it.
But what I dont get is, how does this thing get so much dirtier so much faster than the engine air filter? I changed both at the same time, and now engine air filter is still fine, while cabin filter looks like everyone elses photos, a clogged mess.
I mean, the engine sucks way more air than the hvac, and I use the engine like 100% of the time I'm driving, the heat and A/C, not neaely as much.
