Extreme bad luck with my car lately.
My car has been going through hell lately. Within the last month ive had someone put a dent on the driver side of my hard top (don't ask me how or why, it was just parked in a parking lot, i went outside and i have a big dent in it now.) my front bumper and lip got screwed up in a parking lot, my rear bumper got backed into in a parking lot. Now the latest, my passenger side door has a huge dent with white paint around it, right on the body line..... i saved up for years for this car and its just one problem to the next...why cant people just leave a note and pay for there f**K ups. im not very familiar with getting insurance companies to fix things like this...but does anyone know the details behind trying to get your insurance company to cover basically hit and runs....would it raise my rates much? and also, since my car has been through so much, and has dents in numerous areas, if my insurance company will cover me, would i be able to paint my s2k a new color? or would i have to stick with Silverstone. If anyone has had to go through something like this or has any advice please let me know. I've been saving for a comptech blower and i don't want to dig into that fund to fix dents i didnt even cause. ahhhh the frustration

They will fix the damage if you have a police report or maybe without, but they ain't repainting your car if they don't have too. A quality repaint cost more then $5k and they ain't dishing it out unless its 100% necessary. Especially since they have no one to go after.

If you want to keep your car pristine, use the blower money for a beater.
I'd rather drive my beater some of the time than my S2000 beat up all the time....
You can't control what other people do. The only way to protect it 100% is to leave it at home.
Every time you go out, it's "acceptable risk." If you don't accept the risk, don't drive the car.

Go to a paintless dent guy,fix the dents put a new bumper on it and try to forget about it.I've had mine dented ,scratched, hit with flying rocks you name it.Fixed all every time and drive mine everyday. It's all part of life- raise your deductible to 2000$ and use the savings to fix it yourself.
Your insurance will make you pay a deductible for each seperate event of damage. That will get real ugly, real fast!!!

your under/uninsured motorist coverage should cover it. IF you were not being cheap and denied it. There is usually a deductable, which usually matches that of your collision. some companies raise rates, some don't.
OR, it might fall under the comprehensive portion of your insurance. It really depends on the circumstances. With most top companies, comprehensive claims usually do NOT affect your rates.
