Dealer cost on a 7/75k $50 deductible Honda Care Warranty if bought before 2/24K is $755. Trust me. It's just a question of what kind of deal you can negotiate. I had a quote of $50 over cost. Sorry, can't tell you where.

I purchased the 7/75 from Balise about 2 months ago. I thought that the price was reasonable, and with the issues of the 2000 MY tranny, I thought it would be a good idea. The prices quoted above are what they were working from (if I remember correctly.)
I would sincerely doubt that Honda would cover a supercharged engine. If you can get coverage through another source, I would certainly give it a real look.

So are we to understand from that chart that even if the car is out of warranty, an extended warranty can still be purchased for an extra $160 (as long as the car is newer than 4 years / 42K miles)?

Correct. Unless the VIN has been flagged (flood damage, salvage, etc) then that should work. They charge $160 extra from 36-42 months or 36k-42k.

Go to http://www.hondawarranty.com/ and you can see for yourself. Note that this web site e-mails you a $75 discount code - plus they are about $75-100 higher than some other places even using the code.
