Default Expensive intake systems

hey guys, whats up, i was doing some research on intake and exhausts for my 04 s2k, and i came across this ASM intake, i was wondering why is so expensive, what are the hp gains, the mugen and j's are also pretty expensive....please need some info on these intake systems.......

Regarding exhaust i will probably get the amuse dual R1 but i wanted to know about the ARC exhaust price at $3000, wanted to see pictures, all i could find was the price and also wandering why is so expensive?

They are so expensive because people are willing to pay that much. Have you checked out the ASM Widebody kit?

Hmmmm, 4000 bucks worth of intake and exhaust for about 10hp. Well, at least you can look at it and listen to it all day long.

the only thing that you should look at, if you want the best, is material quality... composites (carbon fiber/kevlar) keep the air alot cooler than plastics/metals therefore, the air sucked in from the outside is essentialy the same temperature when it enters the manifold, it is not heated by the material it is flowing through. downside is that composites are expensive... but definately not $4k...

(just info i'm passing on that I heard from a pretty reliable source...)
