why dont you check out resonator removel?

Those are all great exhausts that were mentioned but they don't fit the requirements he is looking for.

The two biggies are the no droning and the $800 cap.

As far as the HKS losing power, I don't know if I believe that. I was able to dyno 330whp @ 6psi with the HKS so I really don't think that it loses power. I don't think that its the best flowing exhaust out there, but it is definitely the best sounding exhaust available IMO. Even if the exhaust did lose power, I would buy it again because it sounds so damn good with a testpipe.

I have the apex-i N1 single exhaust and that's the exact sound and price your describing. It only has a steady low tone noise when driving normal then when you open it up it really sounds sick, almost like a motorcycle at high rpm. It was around six or seven hundered dollars. Also, it was a huge weight reduction. I think it weighs around 16 pounds compared to the stock exhaust which is around 4 times heavier.
