excessive heat in cup holder/hand brake area

Default excessive heat in cup holder/hand brake area

well as the title says...after about an hour of driving i feel this excessive heat from the cup holder and hand brake area. is this normal?

yea i think its from the tranny, after 20 minutes mine get warm

Yup, it's cuz your tranny is right there sitting your lap.

yeap it gets hot. i think i measured the passenger area tranny side at 155F.

Yep, after long periods of driving, it will do that. Works for you if you have coffee in the cup holder .

This is why I hold my cold drinks in my hand instead of using the cup holder. Kinda annoying.

We have a cup holder in the AP1? I thought it was a change holder. I rarely have drinks in the s b/c I prefer to use that space as mini storage for the garage clicker, my sunpass (electronic toll thingie) and quarters. If I have a passenger, I make them hold it.

Works as a great heater in the winter. In the summer it makes things worse.
