^ nice. If your going for a track car why not find one that has the mods you want ie turbo engine managment and so on. The seller never gets the money for the mods thats why most put back to stock before selling. May save you some money. Just an idea. Your gonna drop some cash building 600 hp s after you buy the car anyway.

Well i'd rather not buy someone else's mistakes or hassles, I've thought about buying an already turbo s2000 but i'd rather start from scratch, that way if something goes wrong i would know where to start instead of being lost in a mad mans mess.

^ hear ya. On the other hand you can tell pretty quick if it is done right with quality parts. Then the only question is how much life is left on them. Then you can put clutch and do new build on engine instead of buying a turbo and ems.

Look around take your time winter is a good time to buy a S.

Good luck.

That's the main reason I wouldn't buy a turbo S from, don't know how it's been treated. I've been looking and this seems to be the best deal so far, that I can find within Ohio.

Ohio i see why you have awd. If you are wanting 600+ hp on a s2000 Just saying in this paticular case it may be better to find one already built may be able to save money in long run.

But i think half that hp will be plenty for a track or dd.

The s2000 is sexxy. Evo I just cant say the same for. IMO The evo engineering is better than wrx/sti but looks are about the same.

The blue s is sharp.

I do think a 300 whp s2k would be very nice but i'm looking to build a monster.

The evoX is sexy in it's own way but far more different in looks compared to a wrx/sti.

I went from a 2008 WRX (highly modded) to a 2002 S2000 and my only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. I lost my ass on the WRX, was just barely able to get out from under it. If you have the time and ability, I'd highly suggest pulling off all the mods and selling them to recoup some of the cost. Also, you'll probably get more $$ for the EVO if it's stock.

As for a DD, the S2000 is fine for me. I travel for a living, so I only drive to/from work once a week. The rest of the driving is just for fun, or random errands. I don't mind the lack of utility. My GF has a Civic sedan, and I have friends with trucks if I REALLY need to move something large.

My previous 2 AP2s were daily drivers so they stayed stock - but then I had the realization that I had much more fun in my stock S than any of these other cars
