evo to s2000?

i have never owned an evo but i did own a eclipse gsx with lots of mods, i had lots of fun with all the power, and the awd is fun and very forgiving, but the shifter and the raw sports car quality of the S2000 cannot be compared to anything. Really though it depends on what you do with your car, if you have kids, married, do you travel a lot. All that really affects the decision.........wait a min, what am i talking about, GET THE S!!

vtec9 - Yes, bad weather is a blast in the S until you lose it and wrap it around an unmovable object. You can easily and safely whip an Evo around all day in that kind of weather. It has AWD and traction control for that purpose. The S2000, at least the AP1, does not. One minute you're thinking, "Hey this is fun, the S CAN be driven in snow." The next minute, it's, "Well Officer, I was coming around that corner a little too fast. The back end started to slide out so I eased off the gas and countersteered. I just couldn't regain control quick enough. That's why my pride and joy is wrapped around that tree over there."

this is the exact reason why I got the s2000. Top Down fun and it's fun.
You'll miss the whole idea that you could basically take on most of the cars on the road.
I can't race a Lambo Gallardo and win like I did before in my Evo, or pull on modded GTO on highwya, but as far as the car being fun and being less maintenance, s2000 is the way to go.
I don't have to worry about changing my plugs every 3000 miles (copper) and synthetic oil all the time, always wanting more power, always buying things for the car, always killing the tires way too fast and cops are just all over the car. I have the s2k, cops don't even give me a second look. Tickets alone ran me $4000 last year alone.
That's one of the main reason I got the s2k. so i could have a nice top down fun and have more involvement in driving and go slower, a lot slower.but if you decide to make this car go fast, it's gonna be expensive, unlike the Evo.
it does great at the track though and RWD is just more fun.
I don't think you'll regret it. My GF has an evo and she always wants to drive my car. But if you could have both, that would be perfect.
just remember, two very very different cars.

based on when you saw my friends Evo show up at Mod Day in the Spring, we all thought you hated Evos.
Anyway, the Evo is a different kind of car.... if I had the choice, I'd keep both. If you commute back and forth to work all the time, I'd stick with the Evo...
I'm not sure I buy the arguement that the S2k is more fun either... I think both cars are fun....just different...
