Dang, but I love neon. Not sure I could put it on my car, though that BMW Z8 sure looks good with the neon front and rear. If I were younger, I probably would. As dlq mentioned, some of that other add-on stuff is as bad, or to me much worse.

 

I'm not a fan of neon. In my opinion, the s2k is a classy sports car and when neon is added, it cheapens up the look of the car. Its good to modify the s2000 in other ways, but not with neon.

 

Neon attracts attention alright, from the cops. I think I looks horrible on any car, but to destroy an S2000 with it is truly a sin. I am all for modding up the S, but tastefully.

 

I think Neon looks kinda cool, but I too wouldn't put it on my own car. Mostly because of the image associated with having Neon. It's a little to Ricey or some other term on what may be deemed lower class things to do.

 

When I think of neon lights, I think of all the Dodge neons w/ neon lights. Do you want yor S associated w/ that!!!!!!
Do mods but do them w/ good taste. Make it your own by powder coating or something.


All we need is three S's drivin around with the same neon lights jackin trucks and ruining all the fun. LOL

In defence of neon, I think that if applied conservatively and tastefully it, it makes a good impression. On the other hand, too much is not good... like two strips, one under each door, would look awesome on an S in my opinion, but 5 or 6 strips is pushing it

 

I like neon when it is used as a interior lighting accent, but not on the outside.
